“A conference like no other!”
“It is the event to attend if you want to get the full Umbraco experience in terms of community, developing with Umbraco and what is the future of Umbraco. If you're serious about Umbraco you must attend to this single event. No doubt.”
“It was my first CG. I now know what Umbraco "is" and know what a community really is :)”
The above is some feedback from last year’s Codegarden attendees. And of course that doesn’t give you any hardcore facts (we’ll get to that in a second 😉 ) but they are very good points to keep in mind as you keep reading, as we completely agree; Codegarden is like no other and very important to attend if Umbraco is part of your business.
Codegarden is the name of the biggest Umbraco Conference in the world. “Biggest” in many ways: It is the biggest gathering of the Umbraco Community. In 2017, 600 people from around the world showed up (psssst...we’re expecting more in 2018)! Codegarden is also the conference where you’ll hear the biggest upcoming news about Umbraco and the industry in general - directly from the people who are working on it!
Codegarden is also the only Umbraco festival/conference hosted by Umbraco HQ.
2018 will be the 13th annual Codegarden and will take place on the 23rd-25th of May in Odense, DOKK 5000, Denmark - Umbraco HQ’s home turf (close to both city center and train station)
Like previous years, Codegarden is a conference packed with everything Umbraco:
✔️ Inspirational sessions by industry leaders, talented community superstars and core developers from Umbraco HQ.
✔️ Hands-on workshops to teach you how to do things better in Umbraco.
✔️ In-depth code demonstrations.
✔️ Interesting case studies; see how and why others have had success with Umbraco.
✔️ Umbraco sneak-peeks; be the first to know what’s coming.
✔️ Acclaimed keynote speakers.
✔️ And - of course - socialising with hundreds of the world’s friendliest community including all of Umbraco HQ.
Here, on the official Codegarden 2018 website. On the front page and in the menu (top right) you are be able to find information about everything: the different sessions, speakers, workshops, The Umbraco Awards, the schedule, special hotel deals and of course, buy your tickets.
We also keep you posted about all the exciting Codegarden news on the Umbraco blog as well as on our Codegarden Twitter and Facebook pages - look up the #CG18 and #Codegarden tags, and you won't miss a thing!
The Umbraco blog is also where you'll find a more colorful description of the happenings (and more is already on its way!):
Yes, a lot of awesome seasoned Umbracians will return for Codegarden - but it's a very friendly place for first-timers as well. Actually, it might just be the perfect introduction into all of what Umbraco is.
We are aware that it can be a bit intimidating to participate for the very first time. Especially if you are going all by yourself or feel like you don’t know anyone. Luckily, the Codegarden atmosphere is extremely inclusive - and we will of course also arrange for different initiatives that’ll ensure that everyone feels welcomed whether it’s your first and 10th Codegarden.
But don’t just take our word for it. Following Codegarden 2017 we interviewed 7 brave first-timers to hear about their experience and impressions of their very first CG. Maybe they’ll convince you that being a newbie is not an issue at all!
We sure hope so!
